Bhaji, which is also called as fritters, is one of the favorite Indian dishes. It is spicy, crunchy, deep fried Maharashtrian snack /starter which is available all over India. In Maharashtra, we call it bhaji but outside Maharashtra it is called pakoda. In Pune, there are numerous roadside bhaji stalls who sells assorted bhajis . The aroma is irresistible and tempting too. Bhajis can be done with onions, potatoes, green chillies, bananas and what not. Each one has got the unique taste but onion bhajis (similar to onion rings) are popular amongst all.

This spicy dish has an association with rains.  A hot cuppa chai served with crunchy bhajis, an ideal snack for rainy days and on top of that if you have friends to chat with ..... ahahhaaa......
