Venison curry


Ingredients :

deer meat - 500 gms
onion - 1 cup
ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
green chillies - 3-4
tomato puree - 1/2 cup
meat masala - 2-3 tablespoons
red chili powder - 1 tablespoon
garam masala powder - 1 tablespoon
coconut milk - 2 -3 tablespoons
plain yogurt - 1/2 cup
butter - 3-4 tablespoons
cilantro
salt to taste



Recipe




1. Soak deer meat in salt water for at least 30 minutes.

2. Make a fine paste of onion, cilantro and green chillies .

3. Melt butter in a sauce pan, add ginger - garlic paste and saute for a minute. Add onion paste and saute for 4-5 minutes.  

4. Add tomato puree and cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add deer meat, red chili powder , garam masala powder and water (enough for cooking).

5. In plain yogurt add meat masala, mix well and add to gravy. Cover and cook for 7-10 minutes.

6. Add coconut milk and cook until the meat is tender. Garnish with cilantro.
