Indian tea (chai)
 
 
Ingredients
 
water - 1 cup
tea (chai) powder - 1 teaspoon
granulated white sugar - two teaspoons
ginger julienne - one eighth of teaspoon
*lemon grass (optional)
whole milk - enough to change the color of tea
 
 
Recipe
 
Add  sugar, ginger julienne and fresh lemon grass to boiling water. Add tea powder after a couple of minutes  and let it boil for a while. Then add milk enough to change the color from black to light red. Your cuppa chai is ready!

 
Tip
 
*Lemon grass (gavati chaha)  is native to India, has medicinal properties, used extensively in Indian Ayurvedic medicines, helps to get relief from cough and nasal congestion.
