tomato-onion salad
(kanda-tomato koshimbir)
Ingredients
tomato - 2 medium sized, chopped
onion - one half chopped
green chillies - 1-2 finely chopped
sugar - 1 teaspoon
crushed groundnuts- 1-2 tablespoons
vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
mustard /cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
turmeric - a pinch
salt to taste
cilantro to garnish
Recipe
1. Chop the tomatoes and onions and mix in bowl.

2. Add crushed groundnuts, sugar, salt .
3. Heat vegetable oil in a small saute pan , add mustard or cumin seeds. Sometimes you can add both. Put in a pinch of turmeric and green chillies. Shake the pan and remove from heat. After cooling down add to the mixture.
4. Mix well and garnish with cilantro.
